Vince McMahon to Announce Million Dollar Plans Tomorrow at Noon
Ever since Vince McMahon made his $1,000,000 giveaway promise last week on RAW we’ve wondered what and who is going to win the money. Cynical on-line speculators have supposed it to be a ploy to help WWE’s sagging ratings.
Firstly, every sport’s TV ratings are down and I don’t think that’s necessarily an indication of flagging popularity. Secondly, up until this point all indications point towards the prize being given to someone in the live audience ergo the giveaway has nothing to do with TV Ratings. The WWE is also doing pretty well with live attendance figures. Finally, who cares it’s $1,000,000 dollars that may be given away during every single RAW episode.

Our million-dollar wonder will soon be no more. Vince McMahon is holding a press conference tomorrow at noon PST at the Staples Center in Los Angeles to announce the specifics of the giveaway. He will be joined by a pair of WWE Executive Vice Presidents (are they on the infamous Board of Directors?), WWE Divas, Superstars, a cadre of press, and, yes, ONE MILLION DOLLARS. Will he toss it in the air like Floyd “Money” Mayweather, Jr. did at the Wrestlemania XXIV Press Conference? Hard to say. This member of the press sure wishes he lived in Los Angeles and could find out.

It’s hard for me to understand why he’s giving the money away too, Rhonda. Vince said it’s to bring wrestling fans back to the WWE so I guess that makes sense. It seems to be working, though.
300,000 people have already signed up on their website to win! I am one of them. $1M would be nice but I’d have to agree with raekwon and say $100,000,000 would be even better.
