- Anthony Mundine retained his WBA Super Middleweight title in Australia last week with a unanimous decision win over Nader Hamdan. Scores of the fight were 120-108, 117-111, and 119-109.
- Evander Holyfield revealed this week that talks are underway for a re-match against Mike Tyson. In their first bout in 1997 Tyson bit a piece of Holyfield’s ear off and bit him numerous times in the bout.

- Dimitri Kirilov retained his IBF junior bantamweight title on Friday with a majority draw over Cecilio Santos in New York. Kirilov won on one score card 116-112 while two judges scored the fight 114-114.
- Robert Guerrero succesfully defended his IBF featherweight title on Saturday with an eighth-round knockout of challenger Jason Litzau.
- Lucian Bute retained his IBF middleweight title on Saturday in Montreal with a 10th-round TKO of William Joppy in front of his hometown crowd.
- Yutaka Niida defeated challenger JoseVarela via knockout to successfully defend him WBA minimumweight title.
- In a weekend rubber match Israel Vazquez retained his WBC super bantamweight title with a 12-round split decision over Rafael Marquez. Scorecards of 113-112 and 114-111 went in favor of Vazquez while one judge scored the bout 114-111 for Marquez.
