Mayweather’s $20 Million Payday
On Monday WWE officially announced a Wrestlemania match pitting the world’s best pound-for-pound boxer, Floyd Mayweath Jr., against 400+ pound Big Show. So where’s the news you ask? Mayweather’s price tag for the appearance is a staggering $20 million. Just reaffirming his “Money” nickname I suppose.
The match will take place on March 30th as part of the WWE’s biggest event of the year, Wrestlemania 24. The event takes place outdoors at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida.
The match was announced during a “press conference” held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Monday in which brawls erupted, Mayweather tossed cash into the crowd, and the polar opposite foes stared one another down.
The tale of the tape for the bout will look something like this:
Floyd Mayweather Jr.
- Height: 5′ 8″
- Weight: 150 pounds
Big Show
- Height: 7′ 0″
- Weight: 430 pounds
