  • Oscar De La Hoya has announced his intentions to fight on May 3rd in a tuneup fight ahead of a September rematch with Floyd Mayweather Jr. The bout will air on “free” TV, not on PPV. His opponent and a venue for the fight aren’t yet known. It is the first of three final bouts for De La Hoya who is expected to retire after a final fight in December.

  • Steve Molitor successfully defended his IBF junior featherweight title with a unanimous decision win over Ricardo Castillo.
  • Andrew Golotta defeated Mike Mollo via unanimous decision on Saturday at Madison Square Garden. Golatta improved to 41-6-1 with the win including three straight victories.
  • Despite a fast start from Felix Trinidad, Roy Jones Jr. recovered to score two late knockdowns in a unanimous decision win at MSG on Saturday.
