ECW Results: Big Daddy V vs. CM Punk at No Mercy

• Tommy Dreamer def. Elijah Burke (Elimination Chase)
• Big Daddy V def. Tommy Dreamer (Elimination Chase)

Nothing ruins a good three week elimination chase for a title shot like Big Daddy V. Maybe it’s just me but I was actually excited about the possibility to see Tommy Dreamer face CM Punk for the ECW Championship at No Mercy because it felt FRESH (Elijah Burke on the other hand, not so much). My dreams came crashing down when Big Daddy V paraded to the ring and crushed Dreamer, and my hopes of a good title match at No Mercy.

While Big Daddy V vs. CM Punk hasn’t happened before I could care less to see it. Why? Maybe the 300-pound difference between the two or the fact that a CM Punk-Dreamer match put two similar wrestlers in the ring, not that any of this matters now.

In short, I wouldn’t expect an ECW title change at No Mercy this Sunday.
