Benoit Toxicology Report Released
The official toxicology report stemming from the Benoit case has been released. Here are the important notes that have been revealed in the report:
- Benoit was found to have testosterone, painkillers, and anti-anxiety medications in his blood stream. No anabolic steroids were present.
- Nancy Benoit tested positive for painkillers and anti-anxiety medication.
- Daniel Benoit was found to have a high level of Xanax in his blood stream. The drug was the same anti-anxiety medication found in both of his parents and was likely a sign that he was sedated prior to being killed.
Interestingly the investigation into the deaths is continuing and an official statements on the exact circumstances is expected in the future but it would appear that the media did indeed jump to conclusions in saying that steroids were the likely cause of the deaths.
