Benoit PM Update
From everything I have gathered the news surrounding the Chris Benoit case has significantly slowed today. Here is what has come out:
- Benoit met with his physician just hours before the death of his wife occured. The meeting was a scheduled visit due to low testosterone due to previous steroid use and was previously scheduled. There were no indications that the situation that has unfolded was going to happen.
- The most likely motive in the case appears to be the fact that Benoit’s son had a rare disorder which included mental retardation as well as debilitating physical symptoms and autism. The couple reportedly argued frequently about the situation and, although no actual spark is known, his wife is believed to have been killed in a dispute over the future of their son while Daniel was killed due to Chris not wanting him to have a poor future without a mother or father.
- His son was likely killed using a choke hold as no bruising was found but internal damage was present.
On a side note, I am set to appear on the CrimeNe.wsCast tomorrow night at 10:30 pm eastern to discuss the Benoit case, specifically the criminal aspects of the situation. I will post another reminder tomorrow so be sure to tune in.
