Special Raw Draft Special Concludes with a Bang

Not only were there plenty of roster moves on Raw there was a shocking twist at the end of the show. After leaving the arena on his own appreciation night Mr. McMahon stepped foot into his limo which promptly blew up. WWE.com is reporting that he is presumed “dead at the scene” although I am sure we haven’t seen the last of him yet (although a break from TV is likely).

There were matches on Raw to determine the draft picks but the picks themselves are what matters so here they are:

To Raw:

• Mr. Kennedy (from SmackDown!)
• Bobby Lashley (from ECW)
• Snitsky (from ECW)
• King Booker (from SmackDown!)

To SmackDown!:

• The Great Khali (from Raw)
• Torrie Wilson (from Raw)
• Chris Masters (from Raw)
• Ric Flair (from Raw)

To ECW:

• Chris Benoit (from SmackDown!)
• Boogeyman (from SmackDown!)

While those are all the major moves that are likely to happen the draft is in fact on part way completed. At noon on Wednesday there will be a supplemental draft which will move midlevel talent around the brands. It hasn’t been announced how many moves there will be although some tag team splits and significant moves will likely still happen.

With Lashley going to Raw he was stripped of his ECW title by the now “deceased” Mr. McMahon which leaves the brand without a champion although I think Benoit or CM Punk are two likely candidates for the spot. I will have more news on what direction WWE takes the McMahon bombing as it develops on WWE.com.
