Raw Preview: Judgment Day Effects
The shows immediately after WWE PPVs are usually very important for establishing story lines until the next PPV. This week will be no different and the story lines will start to form tonight on Raw. Here are the matches you can expect to be addressed tonight on Raw:
- Ric Flair def. Carlito - This feud should have ended at Judgment Day and hopefully it did. It was good while it lasted but it simply isn’t big enough to last until another PPV.
- Bobby Lashley def. ECW World Champion Mr. McMahon, Shane McMahon & Umaga - You might be wondering why this would be addressed on Raw but for some reason WWE has decided that the biggest news in ECW should be settled on Raw. It may wait but I think Lashley and Vince will likely have a “discussion” on Raw tonight.
- Randy Orton def. Shawn Michaels - Rumors are that Michaels is in need of surgery and will be out for a while so last nights (and a continuing) concussion story line makes total sense. Expect Michaels to address the WWE fans on Raw and be attacked or sell his injury to buy him some time off.
- World Tag Team Champions The Hardys def. Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch - This feud shows signs of continuing and it deserves it. Cade & Murdoch add a fresh element to the tag title picture but the addition of another team to this mix may freshen it up even more. Perhaps a 3-way tag match is on the horizon?
- WWE Champion John Cena def. The Great Khali - This one is over. It has to be. With the WWE catching so much heat over this match from the start it would be hard to believe they would think of keeping this feud going. Where does the WWE go with the title from here? It’s really up in the air at this point. Orton is a likely candidate but he is still in trouble over his Europe tirade so we will have to wait this one out. I just hope Khali doesn’t get another shot at the title.
