New Breed Dissolves as RVD Earns Shot at Vince
Interesting ECW to say the least where the two factions we expected to see for quite some time dissolved and RVD earned a title shot at Mr. McMahon next week:
- CM Punk def. Kevin Thorn
- The Major Bros. def. Marcus Cor Von & Matt Striker
- Rob Van Dam def. Tommy Dreamer, Sandman and Sabu (Extreme Rules Four Way Match)
Lashley opened up ECW demanding a rematch despite his injury. His wish wasn’t granted as Armando Alejandro Estrada came to ringside to warn Lashley that if he touched any of his Backlash opponents he would lose his chance at a rematch. To cope with the threat Lashley sent Umaga’s handler into the steel steps.
No other major news except for the Major Brothers debut breaking up the new breed and RVD earning a title shot for next week. An interesting ECW that was not exactly good but that definitely clouded the future for the brand.
