3 Match ECW Highlighted by Long Main Event
There were only 3 matches on last night’s ECW and here are the results with commentary to follow:
- Tommy Dreamer won a New Breed-ECW Originals Battle Royal
- Snitsky def. Michael Deek & Danny Jaxx
- ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley def. Randy Orton
Mr. McMahon dealt Bobby Lashley another challenge last night when he had to face one half of rated RKO: Randy Orton. Orton was apprehensive about the fight set up by current partner and wrestlemania opponent Edge. Edge reassured Orton that he had his back but Orton wasn’t too sure.
After the main event got underway Edge was tossed for interference leaving Randy Orton facing Lashley on his own. Lashley dominated Orton late in the match finally getting the pin and the win. Expect more talk between Orton and Edge on Raw next week as their tag team partnership is stressed leading into wrestlemania.
Snitsky faced two jobbers in his matchup on ECW so the result was not so significant but the fact that Snitsky made his in ring debut in the land of extreme is signifigant. In the first ECW after wrestlemania I predict we will know what direction ECW will push Snitsky.
The Battle Royal wasn’t too bad but I think it could have been done a little better. I felt it was an average ECW to me at least and didn’t exactly live up to all my expectations but it wasn’t horrible either.
