Undertaker, Batista Both Win on SmackDown

by Kris on March 10th, 2007

Last night’s SmackDown was highlighted by a relative lack of matches. There were only 4 matches, granted they were some big names but there just seemed like so few of them. Here are the results from the matches:

  • World Heavyweight Champion Batista def. Kane
  • Undertaker def. Finlay
  • King Booker def. Matt Hardy
  • Mr. Kennedy def. CM Punk

Some of you may be wondering about the CM Punk/Kennedy match. This was really just to build hype for the money in the bank match at WrestleMania and it was tough because we know someone would have to job. Punk lost mainly because he was on SmackDown and not the other way around. It isn’t too common that ECW wreslters are on the other shows while Raw and SmackDown wrestlers is basically a weekly occurrence.

How horrible is little bastard’s new nickname of Hornswoggle? In other non-match happenings Ashley challenged Melina to a match at Wrestlemania, MVP asked for a championship shot against Chris Benoit on April 1, and the Khali/Kane feud continued with Khali beating up Kane in the back of the arena. Other than that it was an OK SmackDown but I just wish there would have been a few more matched thrown around.
