Lashley Retains Over Kennedy; Finlay, Hardy Qualify
After coming to the ring steaming mad and offering Lashley money to not compete at Wrestlemania only to slap Lashley after being turned down, Mr. McMahon granted Mr. Kennedy’s request and added an ECW title match to the nights card. In the main even Kennedy tried everything including a chair to try to win but Lasley cames out on top.
In other matches that had Wrestlemania implications Finlay beat both MVP and Chris Benoit with a shillelagh blow and getting the three count on Benoit. In the other qualifier Matt Hardy hit a twist of fate onto Mercury to get the win.
Jimmy Yang & Shannon Moore & Scotty 2 Hotty beat Chavo Guerrero & Gregory Helms & Daivari in a cruiserweight 3-on-3 tag match. Yang pinned Daivari to give his team the win. In women’s action, Asley beat Jillian.
Batista has not totally gone to a heel persona even after attacking Undertaker at No Way Out. In his interview on the show fans only perceived him as a heel when he referred to the undertaker at which he was promptly booed. Undertaker only appeared on the screen but is definitely the fan favorite going into their match on April 1st.
Next week on SmackDown will be Batista vs. Kane and Undertaker against Finlay.
