New Intercontinental, Women’s Champs Crowned
WWE Raw really was surprising last night. First of all two new champs were crowned in Umaga winning the IC title and Melina becoming women’s champion. Umaga actually seems to fit in on an Intercontinental champ level so this is the logical spot for him to be right now. The moves are probably to set up wrestlemania matches for the titles with a face winning at least one of the two titles back. Umaga was also named. Mr. McMahon’s representative for the Trump match at Wrestlemania while Trump’s choice will be announced on next weeks Raw.
With his win Edge is now the first of 6 competitors for the money in the back match at Wrestlemania. The qaulifiers are expected to continue this week and probably next as well. Ric Flair and Carlito were hinted at becoming a tag team but this may just be a way for Flair to turn heel if the rumors of a few weeks ago turn out to be true.
The Cena win via DQ came after Edge stormed the ring and attacked John Cena. Before finishing the Champ off Shawn Michaels came to the ring and took both Orton and Edge out with a chair. Next week Michaels and Cena will have a rematch with Rated-RKO for the World Tag Team Championship.
