Lashley Tops Test in Pre-Rumble Matchup
Bobby Lashley beat Test in last nights ECW main event in what was one of the most boring matches and pretty much takes everything away from the Royal Rumble match. I mean the match was expected after Test beat Lashley down after last weeks match but they could have at least waited to have the rematch at Royal Rumble.
Anyways, Test tried to use the turnbuckle on Lashley but he avoided it and eventually speared Test in return to get the win. I am not sure how Hardcore Holly fits into all of this but I guess he has reached main event status and will be getting involved in the competition for the title.
The other big match of the night was a five man Over the Top Rope challenge with Rob Van Dam, Kevin Thorn, Sabu, Tommy Dreamer, and Sandman going head to head. All five of the extremists will be competing this weekend at the Royal Rumble. With just Thorn and RVD left in the ring RVD kicked Thorn off the ring apron to clinch the victory.
Kelly Kelly did an extreme expose on the show with Layla and new Diva Brooke taking part. I don’t really know how the who strip dancing thing fits into extreme wrestling but it will be interesting to watch as the new bread is realligned into more of an upper level developmental territory.
Apparently ECW decided to change “Marquis Cor Von” to “Marcus Cor Von” but in either case the new extremist beat another jobber. In the other match of the night CM Punk topped Elijah Burke with Matt Striker sitting at the announcers table.
