Last Raw Before The Rumble
Tonight’s Raw will be the last Raw before the Royal Rumble which means a few things. First expect lots and lots of hyping of the event. Also, the feuds and matches that are set up for Royal Rumble will more than likely “boil over” tonight on Raw building the hype for this weekends PPV even more. Don’t forget there are 3 spaces still open in the Rumble (one per show?). Perhaps we will learn more about these tonight as well.
Shawn Michaels is going to start the tonights show. I would really like to see him get involved in a different feud until Triple-H gets back but that probably won’t happen until at least after the Rumble. Expect his opening to address Rated-RKO perhaps setting up a match for tonight’s Raw.
Also, expect John Cena and Umage to be on center stage tonight as the two will be facing off in a Last Man Standing match in under a week. No match has been announced for tonight’s Raw but I would anticipate the two have at least one face to face confrontation tonight.
Tonight Raw Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy will face off with Joey Mercury of SmackDown in a non-title match. You can expect this one to get testy leading into the MNM/Hardys match at Royal Rumble. Don’t be surprised if Johnny Nitro and Matt Hardy get involved tonight as well.
