Age: 28
Height: 5 feet 8 inches

MMA Record: 4-7-0 (0-1 UFC)
Ross “The Gladiator” Pointon was a competitor on season 3 of the Ultimate Fighter. On the show he fought as a light heavyweight (205 lb.) having previously competed as a middleweight. Among his notable fights are submission losses to Michael Bisbing, who fought most recently at UFC 66, and to Rory Singer in the Finale of Ultimate Fighter 3.

Despite having an overwhelmingly losing record Pointon is known for his willingness to fight. Pointon has been out of the Octagon for nearly 8 months since his loss in the Ultimate Fighter finale. After having lost his last 2 bouts he will be eager to get back on the winning side of things.

Among his strengths “The Gladiator” is tough with strong striking and kicking skills. His weakness is his submission defense. For a win Pointon will need to stay off the mat and keep opponent Rich Clementi standing up and toe-to-toe. If Clementi gets a chance for the submission this fight may be done early but if it goes too long Pointon will have the advantage. Pointon will go into his Fight Night 8 bout as the underdog but could pull out a win with his toughness.
