Monday Night RAW Results

by Kris on January 2nd, 2007

Last nights RAW opened with the non-title match between John Cena and Kevin Federline. Before the match started K-fed announced it was now a no disqualification match. Federline then announces his friend and trainer Johnny Nitro who accompanies his to the ring. After trading some blows Cena took the upper hand until Umaga came from out of nowhere and attacked Cena.

Estrada accompanied Umaga to the ring carrying Cena’s belt. The ref told Umaga to leave the ring after which he hit Cena over the head with the belt and then left the ring with Estrada in tow. Federline then took advantage of the knocked out Cena and covered for the three-count and the win.

Next on the show was an eight man tag team match with Cryme Tyme and The Highlanders taking on Lance Cade, Trevor Murdoch, Charlie Haas, and Shelton Benjamin. After some back and forth action Cryme Tyme and The Highlanders begin to dominate. Shad pinned Murdock after some help from JTG giving the win to Cryme Tyme and The Highlanders.

In another non-title match Rob Conway took on Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy. Conway began the match by announcing that if he lost the match he’d leave Raw. As soon as the action began Hardy landed a sunset flip for a near immediate win. Hardy left the ring while Conway stood stunned then Vince McMahon walked to the ring. After making a short speech about new years Mr. McMahon yelled “You’re Fired!” to Conway who is immediately shocked by the announcement.

After a short backstage piece with Kenny Dykstra dissing Ric Flair, D Generation X enters and walks to the ring. They proceed to discuss their embarrassment over being beat up by Rated RKO and that they plan to beat them on Sunday. They also discuss their disgust at the pair beating up Ric Flair. This is all setting up their match against Rated RKO at New Years Revolution this Sunday.

Next up were the Divas. First, Victoria comes to the ring side with her clipboard in hand and takes a seat next to Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler. Melina pinned Maria in the match for the win but what was important was the post fight activities. First Victoria entered the ring to yell at Melina but leaves and throws Lillian Garcia into the ring. Next she kicks Lillian before Mickie James enters to stop Victoria. FIght ends with James and Melina staring at one another.

Next in another taste of some action that will take place this weekend at Revolution Carlito and Ric Flair faced Chris Masters and Kenny Dykstra. Dykstra pinned Flair with his feet on the ropes to win the match. After the match Edge and Orton appear knowning DX has already left and Orton takes advantage and lands an RKO. Edge then does the con-chair-to to Flair and medical staff emerges to check on him. This set up three NYR matches: Flair v. Kenny, Rated RKO v. DX, and Carlito v. Masters.

The last match is Umaga, Estrada, Johnathan Coachman, and Umaga in a 4-on-1 handicap match against Cena. Cena gets DQ’d when he hits Umaga with a chair and then he pulls K-fed into the ring and hits a big FU on the pseudostar. Cena and Umaga stare down as RAW goes off the air hyping their championship match at New Years Revolution.
