Brandon “The Truth” Vera

As I was reading the newspaper, I came across a very interesting article that said that Brandon “The Truth” Vera is in the Philippines.

I actually was supposed to write something about him but was unable to do so, lazy bastard. You maybe asking yourselves, “Who is he?”

Brandon “The Truth” Vera is a Filipino-American MMA fighter fighting in the UFC. As far as I know he still has a perfect record in the UFC and has still to be beaten. Just when you think that Batista is the only Filipino making it big in the wrestling scene, Brandon is also making us proud.

And just like Batista, he has a tattoo showing pride in his Filipino heritage. He has a tattoo on his back inked on the ancient Filipino writing called Alibata/Baybayin. Clockwise, it reads MUNDO (Earth), HANGIN (Wind), APOY (Fire), TUBIG (Water). He also idolizes Manny Pacquiao.

The article also said that he is in the country to renew ties with his family. He  has a Filipino mother and is from a family of 10 siblings. Vera credits his Filipino heritage for giving him a strong sense of family.
