Pacquiao Dismantles Larios
You can just look at the faces of the boxers after the fight and know who won the fight.
Oscar Larios was black and blue and had a black eye after the fight when he was interviewed on TV. Manny Pacquiao just dominated him with lightning quick fists that knocked him down twice in the fight to a unanimous decision win.
But I had to hand it to him. He knew he was in for a tough fight in an arena packed with Filipinos cheering for the home town hero Pacquiao. He stayed with Pacquiao throughout the fight and never was KO’d. He also threw several big rights and pinned Pacquiao to the ropes.
I still think that even though Pacquiao dismantled Larios, you had a feeling that he was on cruise control. I think Larios was great in the first two to three rounds of the fight. Pacquiao could’ve easily knocked out Larios but he didn’t. Maybe it’s just me or I’m just not giving Larios enough credit.
Other than that you can’t ask for a better fight. Manny Pacquiao showed what the Filipinos are made of. He made the whole Philippines proud.
Mabuhay ka Manny. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas.

Make no doubt about it, Larios prepared greatly for this fight and he proved he really came and intended to win.
With his physical condition, he could have beaten Morales or Barrera on the same night.
It wasn’t a walk in the park for Pacman, mind you. Larios really got us scared in the 3rd round. I can feel the nervousness reverberating from the ringside up to the bleachers in every Filipino that was at the venue during this round.
Both men showed true grit and class. Had it been a lesser boxer and less-conditioned, Larios would have succumbed to the barrage of combinations by Pacman. Had Larios been facing another boxer (e.g. Morales or Barrera) in the 3rd round, he would have knocked down his foe. It was not just any boxer though, it was the Pacman he was up against. Despite the only 4-week training, Pac showed he has enough strength in him to withstand the gallant stand by Chololo.
It was worth every penny I had to shell out. Here’s the breakdown of my expenses:
Ticket - Upper Box B : Php2640 (US$51)
Mano-a-Mano limited edition T-Shirt: Php400 (US$7.8)
Mano-a-Mano head band: Php100 (US$1.9)
Mano-a-Mano boxing gloves with Pac and Larios signatures: Php450 (US$8.7)
Transportation: Php300 (US$5.7)
Food and Drinks: Php300 (US$5.7)

Total expenses: Php4190 (US$80.5)
Mabuhay ang Pilipinas and Viva Mexico!”
